Frequently Asked Question

One of the most frequently asked questions we receive is regarding liquidity, specifically can an investor sell their investment. While Augusta Penrose does not intend to quote these Shares on a market licensed in New Zealand and there is no other established market for trading them, Augusta Funds Management Limited does operate a secondary market facility which matches the buyers and sellers of shares. The liquidity of a share is very much related to the performance of the underlying asset including the remaining term of a property’s lease(s). Since 2014, Augusta Funds Management has facilitated secondary sale transactions with a total sales value of over $36 million. While this value is a small percentage of the Manager’s total equity under management, liquidity can also be provided through the sale of the property and return of equity. Since 2014, approximately $400 million of equity has been realised through the sale of properties and returned to investors.

The secondary market facility provided by Augusta Funds Management Limited is not a registered securities exchange or authorised financial products exchange, or regulated under New Zealand financial markets laws. There is no guarantee that you will be able to sell units/shares. Past performance is not indicative of future performance.
